Chris Kuhn

Chris Kuhn is a freelance writer and editor who works from her home in the Tampa ‘burbs. Most recently, she served as editor and local writer for skirt! Tampa Bay, a free local women’s magazine distributed monthly throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Last spring, skirt! moved online exclusively (www.tampabayskirt.com) where Chris continues to write local profiles, event news, and blogs. She also contributes regularly to other local print and online publications including Tampa Bay Parenting and 83DegreesMedia.com and is a regular fixture on Twitter (www.twitter.com/CKuhnTampaBay). Chris says her writing gigs have given her an excuse to become more educated about local nonprofits as well as civic, business and arts leaders in the Bay area. She is a member of biz-e-chicks, Women in Networking Tampa Bay and the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Marketing Committee. Before setting out to establish a freelance writing career, she worked with the marketing, advertising and news teams for The Tampa Tribune as a writer. Chris is happily married with two wonderful adult stepsons and an even cooler grandson, and attributes her daily smiles to a 12-year-old dachshund-Chihuahua who she affectionately refers to as “her assistant.”
