Lauren Geyer is a native of Tampa, Florida. She began her career in design and merchandising at age 16. After graduating from the Academy of the Holy Names, she moved to Gainesville, Fla., to attend the University of Florida where she focused her studies in sociology. Upon completion of school, she moved back to Tampa and continued her career in retail and design.
Lauren was given the opportunity to locally represent Jhane Barnes, a New York City-based men's sportswear designer. Based out of Neiman Marcus, Lauren took Jhane Barnes from one of the poorest-performing products in the store to the best-performing product, not only in the local men's department, but nationwide. Jhane Barnes subsequently came to Tampa to do a personal appearance and trunk show, and flew Lauren to New York City to have her select the upcoming spring collection. After that, Lauren was afforded the opportunity to put her design skills to good use as an interior design consultant for a local home builder. Her natural eye for beautiful design and color coordination made her popular not only among home buyers, but her personal friends, as well. She has freelance designed everything from entire homes to centerpieces.
