Kelly Yzaguirre

My name is Kelly Yzaguirre and I am the Owner/Creative Director of Dirigo Designs, a graphic design firm serving the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. After working in the telecommunications industry for nine years, I felt it wasn't for me and decided to pursue my passion: design. Following graduation armed with my degree in Graphic Design, I found that the jobs I had taken were not satisfying nor did they pay for all of the hard work. I constantly thought to myself "why am I wasting my time here? why don't I work for myself? why am I making all of this money for someone else and not really getting anything in return?". With the support of my husband and friends, I decided to go out on my own and become my own boss. I have found that it is a hard and challenging road but with my goals in place I am not ready to give up. There is an abundance of resources like networking, business groups and classes that are offered to make a success out of my dream and I have taken advantage of as many as I can! Although I have only been "officially" in business for a few months I have been building relationships with clients since late 2005 and look forward to making new ones. I especially look forward to meeting other Biz-E-Chicks and learning from their experiences, sharing ideas and making new friends in the years to come! Thank you Biz-E-Chicks!
