Spotlight on Chickadee Roni Sloman, President, Bella Prana Yoga & Meditation
Roni Sloman is a certified Yoga Instructor and Meditation Coach. After graduating college at Florida State University Roni spent two years in full-time ministry and completed the first year of her Masters in Divinity. She then decided to pursue her love of the outdoors and worked for Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI) in North Carolina running their special events and community outreach. This gave her the opportunity to surround her self with the training and experience that led her to complete Outward Bound’s instructor training course. During this time she grew to love climbing, mountaineering, and challenging her mind and body in new ways. Not long after Roni continued her education and became an Emergency Medical Technician. In light of her previous mission work and world travel she decided to put her new skills to use working with AIDS and malaria patients for two months at a rural clinic in Africa. It was shortly after she returned from Africa that an unexpected period of depression led her to the practice of meditation. In the search for more information on this ancient practice she learned of the intimate relationship between meditation and yoga. Experiencing stillness and awareness helped to pull her out of depression and she quickly wanted to share this transformational practice. Roni was drawn to the mat, and felt called to invite others to join her. The process of self-discovery and conscious living is a life long journey. And it is with humility that Roni chose to teach the practice of Yoga and Meditation. Bella Prana welcomes anyone who is seeking a new way of interacting with the world around them. Roni’s deepest hope is that you will find greater awareness in your mind, increasing strength in your body, and rest within these walls.Visit Bella Prana's website or contact Roni via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
